There are many Bonitas-beautiful beaches, a charming old Florida downtown, diverse residential communities, parks, rivers, nature trails, soccer fields and more. It's a great place to raise a family, start out, start over, or retire. Today these amenities are under siege. Increasing development and congestion come with the attendant threat to those natural resources that drive our local economy.

I’m Ruth Condit. I’m running for Mayor of Bonita Springs because I care. l care about making Bonita a beautiful, livable human-centered city we are proud to call home. I care about improved urban aesthetics that attract quality investors. I care about streamlining permitting processes to help small businesses reduce costs and delays. I care about the quality and quantity of our water so that our economy continues to flourish.

I am the Principal of Ruth Condit Interiors a residential interior design consulting business located at Miromar Design Center in Estero. My extensive business background checks all the boxes for skills and abilities needed to have an impact as Mayor. During my career I completed projects from New York City to Naples on budget and on time while coordinating multiple contractor schedules. I ask you to hire me on November 5th to work for you and with you to create our bright new future together.

A beautiful environment contributes to psychological well being and attracts vibrant businesses and populations. To that end we can:

Maintain and upgrade landscaping in the medians along Old 41 and Bonita Beach Road.

Improve landscaping of entrance and exit ramps along I-75 and Bonita Beach Road
Reduce visual litter of neglected and confusing signage along Old 41 and Bonita Beach Road.
Power wash sidewalks and businesses along these two corridors and wherever they are not up to code
Extend the rejuvenation of the business district north of the Wonder Gardens

As a small business owner, Ruth believes the prosperity and character of Bonita depends on its small businesses and start-ups.

"We need to protect new ventures from protracted zoning inefficiencies that subject them to burdensome expenses or excessive regulations."

Ruth is committed to helping our workforce live local.

Efficient zoning practices reduce unnecessary delays that raise the price of market rate homes that otherwise would be affordable for the general workforce.

Ruth is dedicated to fostering the promotion of clean and healthy water in both our natural environments and man-made water systems.

"By actively engaging in water quality improvement initiatives and advocating for sound policies, I aim to contribute significantly to the enhancement of our waterways."

This involves collaborating with environmental organizations, local communities, and governmental bodies to implement effective projects that address pollution, preserve aquatic ecosystems, and ensure the sustainable use of water resources. By championing these efforts, Ruth aspires to create a positive impact on our communities, protect biodiversity, and safeguard the vital resource of clean water for current and future generations.
